The Pin-Up Girl Makeup in just 6 steps with 6 products featuring Besame Cosmetics

Thanks to Besame Cosmetics the way to a glamorous look has been deducted to just 6 products and 6 steps. There is no need for contouring, baking, layers and more layers…here are the only products you’ll need to get that perfect pin-up girl look!

2017-03-17-18.56.20.png.png

  1. Besame’s Lipstick in 1959 Red Hot Red
  2. Besame’s Black Cake Mascara
  3. Chanel Comfort Radiance Compact Makeup
  4. Max Factor’s Facefinity All Day Flawless
  5. The Balm’s Down Boy Shadow Blush
  6. A pair of your favorite falsies

How did it all come down to this? Mascara, liner and brows are a big part of everyone’s makeup routine. There are just a crazy amount of options, but with this Black Cake Mascara it is all down to one. Yup, I use it for all!

How the Cake Mascara works:

  1. Brows: I like my brows full but soft. I don’t like the gel look, so I brush these thoroughly.

2. Face: I use Max Factor’s Facefinity. It’s also a 3 in 1 product (Primer, Concealer and Foundation) Less product, same results.  Just a brush of compact powder to set.

3. Eyeliner and Mascara: Here is the fun part! The Cake Mascara is so easy to use that my cat eyeliner was done in under a minute (for those who know the struggle this is a miracle). It’s so potent and the mascara is so light that when I later on apply my falsies they don’t weigh down.

4. Lashes! Just adding them on. I buy mine from Suesh  (Php 100 per pair!)

5.  Lips! Besame’s Red Hot Red is a replica from 1959. I am obsessed with the detail of their products….their tubes are so pretty!

6.  Blush Blush Blush: Again, obsessed with this product’s packaging. You may have seen the Balm’s cute pin-up designs. So this is obviously a perfect product for this look. I use my middle and ring finger to apply my blush to the apples of my cheeks. I like to use my fingers for this because it warms up the product making it smooth and natural.

That’s it!!! It’s really simple, and definitely something you can do. The products are all worth the money. If you have any questions on techniques and other alternatives, ask away!

If you’re not yet a watch enthusiast and haven’t heard of Henry London, here’s what you need to know:

  1. Henry London is definitely vintage inspired. It began when two designers found a 1960s vintage timepiece at the famous Portobello Road Market (in London’s vintage district.)
  2. Who is Henry?  The piece had the words ‘Henry, August 1965’ engraved on the case back. The designers then took it upon themselves to carry on Henry’s name in a line that exemplifies British design and heritage.
  3. Cutting-edge technology. Henry London’s collection is created with front line technology, but not skipping it’s mid-century style.
  4. Modern Day Vintage. Their collection is all about the essence of 1960s design, but with the dozens of colors for straps brings out the modern taste.
  5. Keeping it personal. Henry London is bringing back the tradition of engraving. Pens, notebooks, lockets…when it’s engraved it makes it so much more special. Henry London gives you that opportunity, with their contemporary precision and reliability in high quality stainless steel.

I don’t have a large collection, as I’m still learning, but watches are an essential accessory to anyone’s wardrobe. When I got this piece it was exactly my taste. Adding this next to my only other watch, a 1969 Cartier Tank Quartz which was a gift for my 25th birthday, is helping me find my way to a girls own watch collection.

I’ll be featuring the Henry London watch in a series of post, so watch out!

Pin-Up Inspired Christmas Outfits

It’s the Christmas season and that means getting ready for all those holiday parties! Here are some ideas on what to wear during the festivities. I picked out my favorite color combinations inspired by some classic holiday tunes.

Silver Bells

Here Comes Santa Clause

White Christmas

You can always mix them up, but I love the classic white and red. You may notice I didn’t add any green, and that’s because I like to think of standing out in front of the Christmas tree. Always pair with a red lip, and I usually just do my regular curl set. Up-do or a half-do are pretty classy hairstyles that go with these outfits.
What are your favorite holiday colors?

Vintage Waves: Tried & Tested from Vintage Vandalizm

I’m not going to lie, recreating vintage hairstyles is very difficult. It takes time and lots of patience. But, that’s what gives the glamour to the entire look, taking the time to perfect the hair and giving it the best potential. It’s not just a brush and go, it’s really about sculpting and styling. Finding the right technique can take years and I decided to check out the beautiful Vintage Vandalizm’s routine. I have to say that I am completely satisfied! Of course, I still need to practice and I am adding in a few of my own touches. Once I perfect it, I promise to share so keep a look out for my tutorial!
